Not sure where to eat in Cabo? Heres a list of just a few of my favorite places…check them out and let me know what you think! Oh, and you cannot go wrong with the street tacos! (In no particular order)
If you want a fresh pureed fruit margarita and the best el pastor tacos in all of Cabo, this is the place for you! Just catch a cab or take a quick 10 minute walk up the main street and it’s on the right, you are greeted by a traditionally dressed senorita and they have a mariachi singer at night. Each table gets a huge array of homemade salsa, peppers, cooked onions and cucumbers to start. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, if you don’t know what to order I recommend the stone bowls or an el pastor taco, those are my favorites and of course a fresh mango or watermelon margarita too! Hands down best margaritas in Cabo!
2) The Esquina restaurant in the Bahia Hotel
Talk about having a serious moment with your food! This place is incredible! The food is a little pricier but honestly worth every penny! Mike and I had valentine’s dinner here, and it was so romantic. We ordered a bottle of wine, he had the lamb chops and I had the scallops. You know it’s good when my classy (haha) boyfriend is literally licking his plate clean! It is also right down the hill from the beach so it’s perfect to take a stroll after you stuff yourself full of yumminess. Bahia’s Esquina restaurant is a must for the fancy dinner night in your in vacation.
3) Flora Farms
If you have time to make a thirty minute drive into San Jose, you have got to stop at Flora farms for the best organic farm to table experience. Make a morning of it, they have all kinds of cool little shops you can walk around, the most amazing array of wine in the wine tasting room, and you can walk around the farm and play with all the farm doggies they have there (all adopted from the local humane society). I took my two best friends here when they came for a visit, and they both agreed that this place was in the top 5 best meals they’ve ever had in their lives! Everything is so fresh, the restaurant is nestled in the crops that are being grown. We wanted to try everything, so we all shared the eggplant lasagna, the tuna sandwich, and the arugula flat bread. The bread they bring out before hand is to die for and the homemade butter is finger licking good, and I mean that in the literal since. The only way I can really describe it is a sea of kelp and sunflowers and the freshest, tastiest food you will have on your vacation and don’t even get me started on their cocktails!
4) Bullyigans on the beach
Great lunch spot, right on Medano beach, May I recommend the shrimp quesadillas? I had the pleasure of hosting this place for a month when I worked for JUSCOLLEGE during spring break so I got to know the staff pretty well. We took it over and temporarily named it the ‘Nowhere beach club’. It was the hottest day club in Cabo for the month! The staff here is so friendly and accommodating, and they have really comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas to hang out on while you’re sipping a yummy Rita right on the ocean, you really can’t go wrong here!
5) Nick San Sushi
Mike and I’s favorite restaurant and hands down best sushi I have ever had! It is so fresh. Honestly I can’t even recommend one thing; the entire menu is to die for. The sake is fantastic, the wait staff is amazing, you get waited on hand and foot. They have a beverage guy, a guy who takes the orders, and the guy who brings you the food, it’s like you have your own personal staff for each table. This place fills up quick so be sure to get there early!
Not only does this place have breath taking panoramic views of Cabo, the food is to die for! They pay attention to detail, and if you have something special to celebrate they go the extra mile to create something special for you. Its a more upscale restaurant and its a bit pricey but again totally worth it!
I hope you enjoy!
