The last weekend of our trip to Huntington Beach, CA, Mike and I decided to stay at the luxurious, brand new hotel and spa, Pasea. It was built in June 2016, right off the coast of Huntington Beach, diagonal to the infamous Huntington beach pier. From the second you pull up to valet, you are treated like a VIP.
The hotel is lavishly decorated, and the service was excellent. We walked in and were greeted with a table full of an assortment of meats and cheeses and delicious champagne. Our bell hop went above and beyond. He gave us a little tour of the lobby area, pool, and restaurant, then showed us up to our room where he told us a little about the surrounding area.
The room was gorgeous! It was decorated very modern and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get out in the mornings. The bathroom was really nice, the shower was my favorite part. It’s huge, and it is open to the room, but has a privacy door if needed (but where’s the fun in that). Our balcony over looked the pool and we had a great view of the pier. Oh, and our room came with a really great bottle of complimentary red wine. (I was completely sold at the complimentary champagne and wine.)
The pool was fabulous, and the service there was great! We had calamari and mojitos our first day there, and the last day we had some friends come hang out where we shared the two flat bread choices and a really good michelada. During my stay, I did not get a chance to enjoy the spa amenities, but I did get a tour of the spa and it was really serene and beautiful. They had an array of spa services, a steam room, sauna, and hot tub. The restaurant connected to the hotel, Tanners, was amazing! Mike got the salmon, (oh my gosh) and I got the mussels, with chorizo cous cous. Everything cooked there is cooked over a wood fire grill, so you get some insanely delicious flavors.
If you are going to the Huntington Beach, CA area I highly recommend staying at the Pasea hotel & spa. A huge thank you to the Pasea hotel for treating us like royalty, we will definitely be back for another stay!
